A revised phenolic piston material dissipates heat so effectively that there is no need for a steel heat shield, and the bleeding edge port is at the base of the caliper for a hassle-free bleed. Impressive customisation comes in the form of tool-free reach and bite point adjustment, allowing these brakes to suit any rider preference. Behind the G2 Ultimate’s low weight is its carbon fibre lever blade and titanium hardware. The lever is stiff with a positive feel and utilises SRAM’s SwingLink technology to reduce deadband for instant engagement. The organic pads use a revised compound, and offer improved braking performance over previous formulas.
