I love this little thing! Prior to owning this solo stove, I used my friends’ JetBoils (which always worked great and never failed). I took a risk and tried this brand out (never hearing of it before) and I’m so happy I did.Review based on 4x uses. The ETA lite boils water fast, the gas knob is easy to turn, the piezo lighter sparked a flame every single time on the first try, and the cup detached from the burning unit with very little effort due to the awesome big triangle design. I like the knob and the way the Primus detaches more than JetBoils. I was worried at first that the loose cap/strainer/cup would allow the packed contents to fall out but the strap holds it down ... MoreGot this on sale plus my member discount (so like $80 on sale and then 20% off=like $60 bucks). I like the knob and the way the Primus detaches more than JetBoils. I was worried at first that the loose cap/strainer/cup would allow the packed contents to fall out but the strap holds it down perfectly. If you are on the fence between a jetboil flash and this Primus ETA, I would definitely give this a try. I saved $25 bucks from the JetBoil sale price ($85 on sale, $110 regular) but if there was no sale I would save $50, nearly half the price of the Jetboil. Now having used the Primus, I actually prefer it over a jetboil. And, if they were actually the same price, I would still choose the Primus. If you’re on the fence, go for it. You know REI is so awesome about returns/exchanges/refunds. Give Primus a try. LessTrustmedood · Review provided by REIAll Reviews
