It works by counting pulses generated by the ignition system, alternator, tach signal generator or magnetic pickup sender. This electronic tachometer gauge has a rugged construction with a seven-character LCD display. It knows how many pulses are sent per each engine revolution by selecting the right tach and setting the switch on the back to the correct position. It also has a perimeter-lighted white dial with bold black graphics and an aluminum bezel.
